A Sweep is as Lucky as Lucky Can Be
It’s not everyday that you get to meet someone as charming and witty as Mary Poppins or as goofy and clever as Bert!

We are super lucky to be spending our second summer in a row hanging out with the brilliantly wonderful Summer Theatre Family at the Carriage House Theatre. My absolute favourite thing about participating in summer theatre are the bonds and relationships that are made between cast and crew members. They open up their hearts to each other. Opening up their hearts to darlings Fay and Eden has been no exception and I can not thank all my friends at the theatre enough for loving my little Fay and Eden.
Included in the fabulous cast are husband and wife dream team, Johnny and Twyla Wilson, who just so happen to be playing Mary Poppins and Bert! Johnny and Twlya are studying the Music, Dance, Theatre (MDT) program at Brigham Young University and are heading to the Big Apple after they graduate! With talent as big as theirs it amazes me how humble and loving they are and how willing they are to share and to teach.

Fay and Eden adore Johnny and “Twilight.” They were SOOOO excited to get dressed up in the costumes that Val picked out from the theatre’s collection. THANKS VAL!!!
If you are in southern Alberta, or if you’re up for a road trip (or a jaunty saunter on the skyway -Jet Set!) add seeing Mary Poppins at the Carriage House Theatre to your 2015 summer bucket list! You will not be disappointed. The story of Mary Poppins is a story of hope and family. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, it’s a story that will resonate within your core. And heck! While you’re there make sure to see the other fabulous shows, Catch Me If You Can and Swinging on a Star. Get your tickets here!
They say that shaking the hand of a sweep is good luck. Imagine shaking hands with these little darlings! Twice the luck 🙂
