Unlimited.
Halloween is cool…I guess. (Sorry Letje) It’s definitely not my favourite holiday… but it’s growing on me. I think it’s obvious by now that I love dressing Fay and Eden up…. And I love that they love it too! So a day of parading around in costumes and getting candy is pretty cool. Um. Except it loses it’s cool status once the bill from the dentist arrives. Eden was pretty set on being a witch for Halloween this year. Hmmmm. I’m really into the family dress-up theme thing so that was tricky at first… But then it dawned on me. She can be Elphaba and Fay can be Glinda! I don’t think they’re quite old enough to thoroughly appreciate the amazingness that is WICKED the Musical… So we watched The Wizard of Oz. They were hooked.
Shout out to Josh for spending an hour+ in his “favourite” store, Michaels, to get LAST MINUTE (so my style) materials so I could have the girls costumes ready for school! Inspiration for the costume making process came from one of my favourite blogs, Simple as That.
Ya… remember? Fay and Eden are in preschool now?!?! It’s crazy. Let’s not get into that again. Ok… well lets. With Fay wanting to be an astronaut when she grows up and Eden wanting to be a horse… the possibilities are endless. One could say… the future is unlimited. (All my musical loving homies should be singing by now) Time should stop… but it doesn’t and it won’t. In fact… I’m certain that time is moving faster than ever before. So… I take pictures. I freeze time and “put this love in a photograph” .. Thanks Ed. You’re a genius and I love your music. Love. It.
Hmmmm. It’s dawning on me at this very moment that maybe that’s the reason I have so much stuff. I can’t let go of the time. The memories. No need to call the casting crew of “Hoarders: Buried Alive” … yet. Haha.. all kidding aside, I love my daughters. I want to keep them little forever. Just look at their darling little faces. Mmmmm. Melt me. (haha… i didn’t do that on purpose but you know what i’m thinking now? When they melt the Wicked Witch of the West) haha.
So a couple cool things have happened.
1)Auntie Jenna tweeted a photo of the girls dressed up on twitter and @WICKED_Musical favourited the tweet!
2)Also! I just love the instagram community. A fellow twin blogger, twinsicles, did the most darling post on her favourite twin costumes… she shared our insta-post!
So that was super fun for us!…. Now! Let me introduce you to Glinda-da. Yes… that is how the girls said Glinda every.time. Glinda-da. <3
“Happy is what happens when all your dreams come true.”
A sparkle and a scratch…
You might notice that Miss Fay has a sparkle on her upper cheek and scratch on her chin. I love it for some reason. I think it’s because now we can always remember the massive amounts of glitter that ended up all over our house. I’m sure we’ll be sweeping that up for the next 50 years. The scratch is from the cats. Ya… we have two now. Princess Penelope andCow.

“Everyone deserves the chance to fly.”
This little munchkin loves make-up. Uh-oh. “Mom!!! Can I have lips! And some eyelash stuff?”

“Loathing”
“Two good friends, two best friends, sharing one wonderful, one short day!”
“I know you don’t want to hear this but someone has to say it! You are out of control! I mean they’re just shoes… let it go!”
It was chilly and windy but we had a good night. Josh was a trooper wearing his Yellow Brick Road costume 🙂
