Somehow, black on black got voted in for our next How We Wore It post… Drawing inspiration from this gorgeous blogger, Cara Loren.
Hypothesis: Wearing all black is only for goths and funerals. I will not wear all black.
Conclusion: Wearing all black is awesome and makes you feel like a rockstar. I submit that it’s actually classy and timeless! I will channel my inner Johnny Cash and Katniss Everdeen and wear all black… on occasion. It’s easy, it’s peasy, it’s lemon squeezy.
Plan of Action: Trust my fabulous co-blogging friends. Love you girls!
Hypothesis: Dressing children in all black is scary. Avoid at all costs… We’re not filming a horror movie here folks.
Conclusion: Dressing children in all black can be done… if you’re still scared (like me) add a little color. That pretty much sums up our “Black on Black” wardrobe experiment! I’m so happy that we gave this a try! It was so fun. SO fun! I legit felt like a rockstar and my little sidekicks were on fleek for Miss Brittany, our wonderful photographer for this post! Be sure to check out more of her skills here.
I’ve seen the tights-under-shorts look floating around pinterest for a while and was dying to give it a go on the girlies.
Shopping at Winners is a bit of a challenge sometimes…but they really came through for us recently. I love these rompers.I had a conversation with a friend a few months back about pleather leggings and have since been wanting to give them a try – although slightly afraid. I found the perfect pair after hunting for the right size for about an hour at Winners. I am so glad I didn’t give up on these pants. Can we please take a moment and appreciate this amazing, AMAZING jacket?! This, my friends, is a glorious hand-me-down from my chic and ever-so-stylish Aunt Helen. Hey! Aunt Helen! I think you should join us for our next HWWI (How We Wore It) post! You know… that acronym looks like Hawaii. Maybe we should go there. OK! Back to this stunning jacket… Look at the shoulders! GAH! I LOVE it. (You want it back now don’t you Auntie…)
Rock on world.
